Invent@NMU helped me get my foot in the door at MEDC. It taught me how to interact with clients and manage projects. It was the experience that made me realize economic development is a career path I’d like to take, which has motivated me to work hard in my current job.

Advice to Current NMU Students

My advice is to enjoy the outdoors safely and know that you can make your post-college experience whatever you want, but it requires taking classes seriously. Make sure to get in front of your class to speak/ present as much as you can so you have confidence when joining the workforce.
